Overall, the hotel personnel was very nice with us and made us feel at home. Location is on the top of the Stelvio pass, so amazing views, hiking on surrounding mountains can start from the hotel doorstep, and the ski lifts to go up on the glacier (were we managed half a day skiing, in August!) are 5 minutes walk. It's nice to be up there in the evening and morning before the crowds arrive. It's very retro in a charming way, proper old school mountain hotel. We were there in the middle of summer yet there were still skiers! We didn't use the pool but did eventually find it.
