We absolutely loved Hotel Corte Altavilla as well as Conversano, the hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms were very large and spacious. The staff were excellent and breakfast was great served on the roof top terrace. There are 2 terrific restaurants in Conversano worth going to; Vita Pugliese and Il Giullare near the castle (try book in advance). Conversano is a great base for day trips including beach days (Torre Canne), visits to Polignano Al Mare , Mattera etc. Also worth doing a boat trip to the caves/grottos from San Vito which is 15 minutes away, we absolutely loved that. We'd highly recommend Hotel Corte Altavilla!

Perfect Location (you need a car!). Nice 24x7 pool, the owners are very helpful for any concern you may have. Less than 10 minutes to Polignano di Mare and any other location worth visiting in the area. 5 days minimum (I would say).

I can say that we had the best experience ever. The guest are so friendly and their breakfast was one of the best that we have ever had. Every day the owner stops at the market and buy fresh Focaccia, cheese and prosciutto. They gave us a lot of good suggestions also for the wine tasting. The rooms were clean and comfortable. 10/10 experience and would recommend to each and everyone that is staying in town Conversano. Thank you for the amazing holiday! location, beautiful design and luxurious comfort - the most wonderful bed, linen, towels and toiletries, and so much space, with a fabuloys terrace to sit with a coffee or Aperol and watch the sunset and people-watch in the street below. Annalisa was a lovely host, parking was easy (she provides a pass) and breakfast is through a local cafe. Conversano itself is a beautiful town and Dei Balzi matches its charms perfectly. One of the best accommodation highlights of my three months in Italy where I wish I had stayed longer than two nights. thank you Annalisa, it was a delight to be in Conversano again.

I came with a friend for a few days in the beginning of september. The hosts were very welcoming, they explained to us how things worked in the appartment, it was all good. Air conditionning was working perfectly. Appartment very clean and well taken care of.

    Lovely typical authentic Italian town with interesting Centro Storico with its good range of cafes, restaurants and historical sights. No Sky Sports bars, Irish pubs or Sunday Roast Beef dinners (thankfully) ! Very family friendly and a good base to explore the wider area. Definitely not a tourist trap - mostly locals

    In need of some serious cleaning and updating. We found the place tired and rundown. We weren’t told about it operating as a wedding and function venue and on our first night loud music went on until very late. Not a peaceful farm stay.

    The only downside to this stay was that we had to come home!

    The only downside to this stay was that we had to come home! Francesco and his family at Terra Terra were so unbelievably lovely, he gave some wonderful recommendations for places to visit and eat, as well as making bookings for us. The breakfast was delicious, the location is beautiful and peaceful, I can't wait to visit again. Francesco was also so helpful, as our car rental fell through and he was able to help us get this sorted, it honestly was one of our favourite stays ever and we can't recommend Terra Terra enough. It is close to Conversano, which is a lovely town with amazing food. Our favourite restaurants from the stay were Il Giullare and Vita Pugliese (both recommended by our wonderful host!)

    Lovely town and we had a great time exploring all the nooks and crannies. some really lovely restaurants too. To name but a few: II Giullare; Pizzeria Terrarossa; Tie Osteria Gintoneria All lovely and very reasonably priced. Parking is a challenge. Good bus service to Bari ( 5 euro return)

    It is a beautiful town in rural Puglia, small with a stunning cathedral and ancient castle fort. It also has an interesting monastery and art school. Its history dates back to the 6th C BC . Beautiful for a day stay, lovely at night when most the locals enjoy the many excellent restaurants in the many open spaces.

    Lovely quiet town with a charming centro storico. Very friendly, variety of restaurant choices. It's a little cooler and breezier than the coastal towns, which makes it a nice place to cool down in the summer. There is a castle, nice museums, good shops, and definitely hit up della Corte for a perfect cappuccino, or a nice pranzo. Public transit is by bus only right now - 15 minutes from Polignano a Mare. They started upgrading the train tracks in early part of COVID lockdown - locals anticipate it taking years to be active again. Great people watching at Piazza Castello, and do walk the park at Villa Giuseppe Garibaldi.

    The location was ideal. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was a most pleasant experience. The staff were very helpful - a special mention to Francesco, who was always willing to assist with any query. The hotel was a welcome cooling respite from the scorching midday heat! Made us wish we could have stayed at the hotel longer.

    We had a splendid 1 night stay in this apartment and did't want to leave. It was spacious, clean and has everything you need. Host was very polite and helpful in all aspects. Breakfast (Italian) was arranged in the caffe nearby. Location is convenient for exploring nearby cities and beaches
