Anghiari is steeped in history its walls and narrow streets suddenly open to expansive vistas. Places to eat and drink are plentiful with a high standard of food and service for a relatively 'off the beaten track' settlement - food far better than Venice! There are many hill top towns/villages to visit - Poppi and Caprese Michaelangelo are stand out. Anghiari is the perfect small town to visit. The people are so friendly and helpful. The views and the sunsets are amazing. Well worth staying there for a few days. It is super clean and comfortable, the decoration is amazing - you can tell that a lot of the furniture and decoration is hand-made by the owner, and I can appreciate all the details and thought that goes with that. The kitchen is well equipped - you have everything you need to cook (oil, salt, coffee, moka, dish soap, etc.) The hosts were responsive and lovely. WiFi was good, so it is perfect for teleworking. Our host was absolutely delightful and provided fresh eggs and other produce from her garden for our breakfast and a freshly baked cake when we arrived. The room itself was well proportioned with a beautiful modern bathroom, the bed was comfy and the complimentary coffee and water was a nice touch.
