    Not far from the road so easy access by car, but no '...

    Not far from the road so easy access by car, but no 'entertainment' options on-site (not even walking). Great for whale spotting, though. Ignore the hot tub, it is not usable. Geothermal power plant is being built on the cottage's doorstep and smack in the middle of the view from the porch.

    With our 5 year old son we stayed for 7 days at this place...

    With our 5 year old son we stayed for 7 days at this place and it was just awesome. The view is breathtaking so close near the water and with the hot tub and BBQ outside you easily spent much quality time with your family. The cabin is a bit older and could use a bit of love and attention, but it does the job very well! For us this was just a perfect basecamp for our daily trips with skiing in different skiresorts, whale watching, all kinds of pools and day trip to Myvatn area. We would certainly come back here again!
