The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the beach but at the same time be close to the town and main attractions. The staff is super lovely, they made us feel like at home. The room and facility are very clean. The owner is the most lovely person always there to help.

Loved the location, within walking distance of all the monuments. The pool was fabulous, we had it all to ourselves, very clean with comfy sun loungers. The staff were really lovely too. Excellent value for money as we were half board and ate at the restaurant adjoining the hotel. If you're looking for something clean, central, value for money that has a lovely pool, look no further!

The Wifi was really good and also Shivani, the receptionist, was super nice and helpful. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. It's definitely a good place to stay in the town and it's close to the beach, too.

Wonderful place. We got a family suite at a very reasonable price which was so spacious, with a great ambience, super clean and tidy and more than enough for a family of 4. The staff were very friendly and supportive. Food was so delicious and reasonably priced. Loved so much!

    We did not visit Mahabalipuram as we were traveling with elderly folks and just wanted a weekend break. But since we live in Chennai, we have been to Mahabalipuram dozens of times! It is always an incredible place to visit and the ancient ruins from the Pallava dynastic times are breathtaking in their beauty and relevance to our local culture. Well worth a visit if you’re ever in the neighborhood …

    GREAT place to visit, Indian heritage on display!

    GREAT place to visit, Indian heritage on display! The monolithic 6-7th century rock sculptures are a treat to the eyes. The humour of the sculptor well visible in the "lice picking monkey" and the "cat doing yoga" sculptures. Plan early am start April as it is quite hot by 10.30 am. The site is open by 6am, i think. Shell museum is unique and is quite a marvel. Not to be missed. Welcome ice-cream store there.

    Such a wonderful place for relaxing and exploring..

    Such a wonderful place for relaxing and exploring.. We stayed near the beach and ate at Eagles Nest cafe and restaurant.. The food was really great and top notch.. And explored all monuments... Shore temple, krishna's butter ball, Arjunas penance, and five rathas is a must visit places and there nice long long beaches to walk around.

    Mahabalipuram is a nice place.

    Mahabalipuram is a nice place. One should plan for at least 2 nights and 2 full days at Mahabalipuram. Visit to Shell Museum is a must and has amazing collection of Pearls, Mineral rocks and Shells from around the world. I found beach at Mahabalipuram better than Pondicherry. Crocodile Park is also amazing

    The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking!

    The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking! This is 10th Century granite carving at its best - I really was impressed with Arjuna's Penance. Plenty of places to eat good fish dinners and local folk were friendly and helpful.

    I didn’t have breakfast or food at Vinodhara as I met a friend at another hotel and we ate in various other places in Mahabalipuram. The staff were really friendly and helpful and accommodating. There were no issues with booking the taxi at 3am to Chennai airport, everything ran smoothly. My room was basic but I had absolutely everything I needed: a comfy bed, a bathroom with hot water and a shower with good flow and a fan

    Comfortable and large beds. Clean. Staff helpful and polite - including arranging for postage of an item we left behind which was much appreciated and organising us a taxi from Chennai airport. Very close walk to local sights (rock formations, rock temples etc) and beach. Buffet breakfast was good in quality and range. Pool - big, refreshing temperature!

    Perfect location on the main road down to the beach with many shops and restaurants in a short distance. Rooms were all very clean and everything worked. Staff were very friendly and helpful with booking a car for the airport at a fair rate. Hotel is very good value for money, I am only sorry I didn't get chance to try the food.
