Super value for money, warm welcome from the lovely host family, very comfortable beds, great shower, excellent breakfast, funny cats and lovely dog. Convenient location within walking distance along lake Muckno to the Main Street in Castleblaney with a selection of cafes, shops and bars. A 5min drive to the Restaurant “The View“ which has a stunning outlook over the lake and fantastic food. We would highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The Hillcrest is a Luxury house in an excellent location, the house was comfortable and clean and was perfect for our stay, we really appreciated the extra little touches. We loved the art work and the overall style of the house. We highly recommend the Hillcrest.

We stayed here for my birthday. The house is beautiful and very clean and well equipped. The hosts are very welcoming. We loved the little treat hamper and essential groceries, they were lovely touches. I'd love to go back!

Super friendly staff, from the welcoming receptionist to the serving staff at breakfast- all very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, with generous space and lovely ensuite. A hidden family-owned gem in an idyllic countryside setting. Once you enter the front door you are surrounded by warmth and comfort. FABULOUS dinner and breakfast. Menu was varied and creative. Rooms were homey and welcoming. Everything was easy. Great communication.

We liked that the property was clean,light and spacious. The property was modern and had everything we need. There was everything on the the doorstep to enjoy our short stay. We attended a wedding at Cabra castle,which was easy to get to by taxi.
