The rooms were always clean, personal was amazing and the location of the hotel is perfect. We had a car so exploring the island was easier so I really recommend renting car!

Beautiful ! The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The host Nikos and his wife are very pleasant and helpful, every room has a sea view, it is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The pool is excellent and perfectly positioned. Parking is provided. Sunrise Hotel is highly recommended!

The entire experience all from check-in to check-out was just great! Excellent hotel with beautiful pool- and spa area. Breakfast and dinner served in a restaurant with nice view to pool and sea. It was an authentic top hospitality experience. Beautiful location between the greek mountains in a peaceful atmosphere. You can wonder around The original restored stones buildings of the hotel with its plush garden full of flowers and grown vegetables and fruits , the terrace view of the room on the mountains and the sunset makes the stay so special . When you enter the breakfast room it greets you with freshly baked Greek sweet and sour pastries. The toailetries in the bathroom are made from Greek herbs/oils and smell amazing. The pool is very clean and the loungers are well placed all around. It’s a perfect place to get away from the crowded tourist locations.

Fantastic location. Staff were incredible. The 3 pools and outdoor sun beds were amazing. Rooftop pool and bar were perfect in the day and evening for a sun set drink. Rooms and Beds / Cocktails / Evening entertainment and buffet were amazing , something different everyday. Highly recommend!!

    People say not much there, but we felt it had everything there. Good supermarket, beach good as not spoiled by sun beds all over so you can actually see the beach. Several great bakeries and some good restaurants to choose from. Bus stop into city if needed.

    Sfakaki is a nice area, a few tavernas with lovely food and great staff. Beach is about a 15 min walk. Supermarkets and coffee shop a short distance away. Regular bus into Rethymno. Options for day trips available.

    We stayed here for a week as a family of three. Our stay was a pleasure. The host frequently asked if we were happy and had everything we needed. The house has everything we need. The view of the sea from the upper terrace is perfect for morning coffee. The location is fantastic, and the beach is just 250 steps away. What also pleasantly surprised us, and our teenage son most, was the excellent internet connection. The shop is very close by. If we ever visit Crete again, we will definitely return.

    Nikos and Tonya are lovely hosts, very communicative and welcoming. We stayed in an apartment no.102. Big apartment with a separate bedroom and a huge balcony with a view towards the sea and the hills. The shower is very good, hot and powerful. The hotel has a nice swimming pool. Located 10kms from Rethymnon in an area with many new developments.
