Excellent choice for budget hotel! Friendly, helpful professional staff. Basic clean room with sea view (36), a/c, mini-fridge, TV and hairdryer. Good, simple breakfast. Perfect location opposite (literally) beautiful beach with free umbrella/sunbeds for hotel guests! Beach bar/Cafe reasonably priced.

This was easily one of the most hospitable stays we have ever had. The owners were so kind and treated us like family. Nik made us breakfast in the morning, we weren't given a menu, the food just showed up and it was delicious!! Everyone in this area was so nice and wonderful to my 16-month-old son. The room we stayed in was clean and functional. The beach was awesome, we were the only people there. Some rocks but 99% sand. When we were heading out he gave me his card and told me to make sure I emailed him if we had any problems or questions about the island. I cannot express how great the customer service was.

Edelweiss is a perfect place for a peaceful holiday! The rooms have everything you need, everything is very clean and was regularly kept clean during our stay. The beds are big and comfortable. All rooms have a sea view, so you can’t miss it. Aris and his family are great people and great hosts, very caring. They made sure we had everything we needed, and made our stay even more pleasant. We hope to come back again sometimes! Tsoutsourus is a small place, but has everything you need - peaceful beach with prefectly clear water, various options for good local food, groceries… there are many beautiful beaches near if you want to go for day trips. Not sure about the rest of the year, but we had some windy days (just strong wind, no waves) in spetember. It didn’t affect our overall experience, but it’s good to know.

Its a place to isolate if you want. The apartment offers all the things that you need to stay. The owner left us some welcome drinks and a pleasant surprise for breakfast. The house has a nice design and its next to the coast. In a few kilometres there is the village Kastri with many taverns with good food and affordable prices. Outside the house (in the garden) there is everything you need to sit next to the coast and enjoy the sound of the sea.

Our stay was just perfect, a beautiful new villa, super clean and calm with pool and beautiful views. Everything what you need is there, separate bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and nice interior design. Easy parking next to the villa in a serene olive tree vineyard. Although is it very peaceful and relaxing it is only a 5-minute drive from the sea with plenty of nice restaurants, local supermarkets a bakery and beaches. This is one location on our very limited “ we will go back list.” Super friendly host and nice little things when we arrived, cool water , wine and some goodies :-) , Very well done !

The apartments are lovely and situated with a gorgeous mountain view. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The bathroom is equipped with a variety of shampoos, condintoners and care products, which is very convenient when traveling with low-fare airlines and hand luggage only. The kitchen is well equipped as well. You can arrive at Vienna Apartments and start living there.

    The place itself is truly lovely – a beautiful village by...

    The place itself is truly lovely – a beautiful village by the sea, surrounded by mountains. Large tourist buses don’t come here, so everything feels like authentic, non-commercialized Greece: small tavernas, quiet beaches, warm and genuine people, and fellow travelers who appreciate peace and calm. The sunrises and sunsets are unforgettable. One important tip: do not trust Waze or Google Maps blindly. They sent us onto nearly impassable roads just because they thought it was “shorter.” Always follow the official blue road signs instead, and double-check the route on a real map.

    It’s a very small village, with literally just two grocery shops and one seasonal fish shop. If you're looking for peace and a simple, slow-paced life, this place is perfect. Just know that nothing stays open after 10 PM—early nights come standard here.

    It is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for quiet...

    It is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for quiet place with astounding natural beauty, staying in a secluded luxury villa, and fresh food. I recommend staying at Skouros Villa for the private beach and magical views. And eating out at Jimmy’s tavern. Georgia, the owner grows her own organic produce and the restaurant offers amazing authentic dishes like zucchini flower wraps, vine leaf wraps, garlic and onion sautéed aubergine as well as delicious zucchini patties. You must have a rental car to travel around. Use a company called Yours from Heraklion which works out to be €11 per day.
