It has a lovely beach and great local places to eat and a few shops to browse. Good, cheap bus connection to other parts of the island. There are trails that I'd like to try but didn't. It's quiet at night and the views are beautiful. Lovely hotel on the hillside above the bay, with beautiful views of the water A short 10 minute walk into town. The town offered plenty of shops and quaint scenes - so picturesque! Excellent place to stay with young children.
Excellent place to stay with young children. The sea is shallow and the beach sandy. Everything is in walking distance and the tavernas line the beach meaning you can enjoy a meal or drink whilst children play in the sand. The bay around Kamares has numerous swimming & snorkeling spots off the rocks, recommend the Nth side. Then there's the never ending beach! We swam every morning, with the fish, in crystal water, before breakfast. Great atmosphere at night. Best Italian at Da Claudio, best coffee at Stavros. Excellent shopping. We felt so overwhelmed with the beauty of this place :) The hotel just in front of the beach and its owners are fantastic, so kind and helpful. And their wonderful pottery atelier is the perfect opportunity to get in touch with this beautiful art wich is one of the most characteristic things about Sifnos.
