A highly interesting and atmospheric town with at least 2 good restaurants. It is set on a steep hillside and a good deal of strenuous walking is included in a stay-walking is the only way to get around. The 2500 years old stone lion on the edge of town is worth the effort to get to it. The beaches rival those of anywhere in the world. This history of the Island is fascinating and the locals genuinely friendly. I would recommend this Island and in particular the villa we stayed at for peace, tranquillity and beauty. The view of the harbour at night is so beautiful. There's a mini-market nearby, cafes and restaurants , and a supermarket within a short (admittedly uphill!) walk. The place is kept clean and is well equipped with everything you might need. It is located in the heart of Ioulida and has an amazing view. We enjoyed the morning sea view and the sunset from the small terrace. There is no WiFi but it's the last thing you need in this place!
