We loved our swim at Asteria Beach close by after walking close to 500 steps to visit the Venetian style alleys of Ano Syros. beautiful, clean, mixture of old and new, marble streets and historic merchants houses, plenty of good restuarnts and cafes and nice shopping area with everything you could need on tap. Nice little marble/cobbled streets, on the flat around the harbour and shops and then a bit steeper to get to the theatre and church. Found a fab terrace for a cocktail at posh hotel La Ploues. The buzzy Syros town which is full of boutiques, shops, supermarkets - all facilities and, of course, lots of bars and restaurants either in the little streets or along the bay. It is easy to access other parts of The island and we loved the proximity of the beaches right in the town itself. A great island to visit not only for the activities you could do while there, but also for its history and architecture. Loved it. So much to see and do. The location could not be any more central, right in the heart of Ermoupolis and close enough to the ferry port. Despite the lack of breakfast, the room comes with a capsule coffee machine, a kettle, and a minifridge replenished with water and other sodas. Konstantinos has been the most welcoming host, providing us with all necessary information about Ermoupolis and Syros more broadly.
