It was a trip to visit friends..

It was a trip to visit friends.. We spent the two days walking/eating at the Arrow Valley Country Park Well worth the visit ,great food at reasonable prices, overlooking the lake. Especially walking to the ruined Abbey and the needle factory (Bordesley Abbey) which took us approximately 2 hour round trip easy walking. Accessible by car .

Avoid this hotel at all costs, the worst hotel experience of our lives ( read our review) ..... not helped by the fact that after complaining about the wait, it also took the staff over 50 mins to realise that they had "lost" our evening dinner order and we had to go through the process again, and no-one there seemed too concerned .... the worst hotel anywhere !

We have relatives in Redditch and have stayed there before, this trip was for a wedding at Bordesley Park which was excellent. We have not sampled much of Redditch itself but it is located close to a number of activities, landmarks and beautiful scenery in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. On this occasion to be close to the wedding venue we stayed in a spa/golf hotel which I have rated as disappointing overall. I have enjoyed better stays at other hotels in the area.

I cannot comment on Redditch because of my limited time in the area, however my friends and colleagues that I visited that day have assured me that is a place I should return to but not to stay in the same hotel

    My wife and myself,

My wife and myself, do come from Redditch, so we come back to the town to visit friends as much as we can, we know Redditch very well, strangers might find the highways a bit off putting getting into the town but once in the town plenty of shops, and coffee places to relax in. There are plenty of attractions and places to visit by car. Very easy to commute to Birmingham by train.

The bedrooms we spacious and clean and very comfortable.

The bedrooms we spacious and clean and very comfortable. Th bathrooms we also sparkling clean and spacious but it took a very long time to get any hot water to the shower in the morning and it was initially freezing cold. we were on the second floor. We only had views of other peoples bedroom windows. We chose this hotel as we play golf so we were looking forward to a relaxing evening after a day of meetings. Unfortunately the driving range closed at 6,30 so we missed out on using that and the spar was far from relaxing, the pool was very busy and very noisy with young children having swimming lessons, so didn't get to enjoy that either. So it turned out to be very for just a bedroom to sleep in. There are images with the driving range at night all lite up so we thought we would be able to access later than 6.30pm. disappointed by our stay it didn't meet our expectation for the price of the hotel. We were hoping for some kind of view and a relaxing spar stay.

The hotel is set on a quiet site just off the Redditch Road junction with plenty of parking and a decent pub/restaurant selling real ale and decent bar meals plus a West facing sheltered beer garden. Staff were efficient and helpful. The upstairs double room was comfortable and peaceful. A ten minute walk to the Abbey Sports Centre, a Beefeater pub and 15 mins from a large Sainsbury's. A straight road into Birmingham centre past the QE hospital which is about a 20 minute drive.

Was greeted by super friendly staff upon arrival who immediately sorted us out, the bed was comfortable too and there’s a cute pub across the road. The Pub is very lively but with the windows closed at night, the noise is hardly a bother. All in all, the Hotel is a great stay for a short term stop-over in Redditch. It needs a bit of love, some new paint here and there. But its facilities are alright for the price and charming service.

Nothing. It's seems to be undergoing a restoration but is the dirtiest, filthy un maintained hotel I have, in my vast experience, ever had the misfortune to stay in. It should be closed; It is entirely unsuitable.
