Lots to do and see beautiful countryside. The Quay was lovely and well thought out. Shopping was reasonable and plenty of choice. Good bus links and open topped bus looked fun. We liked Poole a great deal as we were there during a festival of the sea event there was lots going on, with music and special exhibitions. Very vibrant. Walking friendly and well sited for other attractions nearby. As the largest natural harbour in Europe you might imagine...
As the largest natural harbour in Europe you might imagine Poole to be a watery paradise - unfortunately it's very built up and you don't get a sense of the location from most of the town. However it's in easy reach (via the Sandbanks chain ferry) of the beautiful nature reserve of Studland bay, the Victorian resort of Swanage and the Dorset (jurassic) coastline stretching to the west. Not to mention Brownsea Island in the harbour. Sandbanks beach is clean and unspoilt with lifeguards on hand - and if you have the energy you can walk along the beach to Bournemouth. The New Forest is a stone's throw away and public transport via bus from Poole to the coast and inland is exceptionally good and easy to navigate.Guest review byvicky - 10.0

We supported a disabled gentlemen on holiday here for a few days, the staff were incredible, going out of their way to make him feel welcome and included in all aspects of his holiday. Making the effort to talk to him, even some of the factory workers next door went out of their way to have a chat. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning and dinners each evening, very good quality food. The host Chris and all the staff at breakfast where friendly and helpful. Chris was available if needed also. Lovely continental breakfast.
