This property looked and felt like a traditional English Inn - as a Canadian, I really enjoyed this. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, and it was warm, which was important as Britain is freezing. I also really enjoyed the pub and restaurant. Breakfast was included; I ordered a full English breakfast and it was delicious. I also appreciated all the Christmas decorations as it really added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Definitely a dog freindly hotel, nice walk around the hotel aswell as bins outisde to put dog waste in. Bar area was dog freindly and comfortable. Room was clean and provided AC. Only downside was it costing £15 to have the dog when there was nothing special provided just limitations to where we could go.

    It is a studio unit with limited cooking facilities but has fridge, cutlery, plates and bar stool table to use. Landlady cleans cutlery due to no kitchen area. Internet was faulty when we were there but not a hinderance to us and fixed by Virgin. Bed was very comfortable and electric heaters kept unit warm as required. Quick access to City.

    Matson is the most beautiful area to stay, it’s close to all amenities by car, it’s peaceful and I would recommend it to anyone . It is very close to the city of Gloucester where there are lovely restaurants coffee shop and shopping. Cheltenham is also close. You can drive easily to Bristol or Bath. A fantastic base to discover the beautiful Cotswolds. I cannot wait to go back, it everything we could have wanted.
