Jedburgh is a little gem - it’s steeped in history. It is spotlessly clean - the local people were all very friendly. Two must visits are Mary Queen of Scots home and Jedburgh Castle Jail. We are in Belters Bar - the food was beautiful. The Jedburgh Baguette Co was perfect for lunch - so tasty.

A lovely quiet place, with interesting shops and good restaurants. Very well kept with lots of flower arrangements; everyone was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed going round Jedburgh Abbey and Queen Mary's house and garden.

Lots of independent shops, lots of historical sites of significance (Jedburgh Abbey, Jedburgh Jail, Mary Queen of Scots Visitor centre) and good places to eat/ drink. Lots of other things to do and see around the Boarders also.

A small town with a few attraction around the local area. Unfortrunatley the local pubs were pritty awful dark and dirty and some were unwelcomming. Non served food after 7pm or 8pm. I must recommend two the following: The Italian resturant in the town serves excellent food and service brillient. If you like Highland cattle you must visit Jackson farm who do an excellent highland cow experience, were you can get up close to the highland cattle and some baby calfs. The Abbey ruines Overall nice to visit

Jedburgh is a lovely town - although we didn't find many places to eat and the Spread Eagle doesn't serve evening meals. We had a good meal at the Carters Rest - very friendly staff and good food. Because we had to leave early on the following morning the "interesting" shops weren't open. Do make a point of visiting Mary Queen of Scots house in the town - very interesting. We didn't get to the Jail.

A fabulous town - full of quirky things to see and do and the loveliest people. The town has 32 blue plaques all over the town, explaining how the great, the good and the very clever related to the town - it was most impressive.

It is a good-sized ground-floor apartment with a separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The kitchen is well-appointed with a washing machine, oven/cooktop, microwave, and fridge (no freezer). The property supplied ample supplies for breakfast the whole time we were there, and a few much-appreciated extras. The property is on a picturesque, quiet street up from the river, close to shops, restaurants, the Jedburgh Abbey, and the Castle. Jedburgh is well situated for exploring SE Scotland.

From the minute we arrived the staff were amazing helping us find parking in Jedburgh and booking us into the room. It made the whole experience amazing (especially as we had just finished a 7 hour drive to get there). We booked into the restaurant to eat and I have top say the food is off the chart amazing. We also met the owner in the bar who gave us the complete break down of the area places to visit and his time just sitting talking over a beer or two (possibly 3).

What an amazing place and so quiet! Great location with a short distance to Jedburgh and not too far to Edinburgh. Sheila is a brilliant hostess. We had a really interesting chat with her. She has a lot of great stories to tell :) The breakfast was delicious and very generous. We will definitely be back if we are around.

Nice central location, off-street parking (public, not secured) behind the hotel. Fine old town with its Abbey and (free to the public) pleasant and secluded Mary Queen of Scots garden.
