    Holt is the best town to stay in when on holiday in north Norfolk It has everything a town should have shops restaurants takeaways tearooms a supermarket bakeries It’s small easy to walk around It is touristy but that means it has some nice luxury shops If you like Chinese food the takeaway was the best I’ve ever eaten

    Excellent range of independent shops and eateries.

    Excellent range of independent shops and eateries. Well placed for visits to all local attractions both inland and on the coast. A go-to shop is definitely Bakers and Larners who sell anything from a range cooker to a packet of seeds. We sampled delicious eggs benedict and coffee in the cafe. There are many boutiques to suit all pockets, a bookshop and bakers. Although we didn’t visit, the two pubs had good menus posted outside.

    Lovely country market town with high quality shops and easy to walk around. Not too many restaurants in town but plenty in the surrounding countryside. Easy and quick access to the North Norfolk coast by car.

    Holt is a well-situated base for exploring the coast, with easy access to Cromer, Sheringham, Wells, and Blakeney—perfect for those looking to make the most of their stay. This charming town has everything you need for a comfortable visit if you prefer to stay local. For evening dining, the best options can be found in nearby pubs, as choices within the town itself are somewhat limited. Lots of lovely cafes and tea rooms and some nice independents and antique shops.

    Communication with host excellent and fast. Full explanation of parking and check in. The place was easy to find and was so clean, modern and just thought through by whoever decorated it and had everything we needed. An absolute gem !

    Holt is a lovely place to explore for a couple of days.

    Holt is a lovely place to explore for a couple of days. There are plenty of independent shops to browse and it has quite an artisan feel. It also has plently of places to eat and drink. We went to the Feathers pub for dinner one night, which was good. We also had fish and chips from one of the many fish and chip shops, which was excellent!

    What a lovely little getaway cottage, perfectly located for all North Norfolk attractions and at the heart of Holt. An ideal size for a couple, well equipped and comfortable with everything to hand, a real home from home. Sam, the host was very helpful with directions and information and quick to answer queries to make the whole stay a hassle free and enjoyable experience. I would be happy to recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

    Everything, Lorraine is such a lovely host, nothing was any trouble. Bed was huge and so comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic lots of choice. I am gluten free. Lorraine checked and the cornflakes and sausages were gluten free. She also provided some gluten free toast. Excellent location for exploring north norfolk. We look forward to staying there again. 🙂

    A magical stay in a Norfolk windmill - an unforgettable experience! The Stone Room was stunning, with epic sunset views from the balcony. Breakfast was fantastic - I had smoked salmon, my partner had the English breakfast, and both were perfectly done. The staff were warm and attentive, and the whole place felt truly special. Highly recommend!

    Beautiful house with colourful quirky decor in a convenient location for visiting north Norfolk. Holt itself is a pretty place too. Plenty of room in the housevfor 7 of us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. It was very hot during our stay and we could sit outside in the lane once the shops were shut so that was a bonus.
