Breakfast was served in the breakfast room and it was lovely to be served. The building was very old and quirky but was well maintained and the rooms were large and decorated tastefully, There is a beautiful courtyard out the back overlooking the countryside where we had drinks before going inside to have some dinner. You can also sit out the front and watch the world go by. Car parking is out the back by the courtyard. Lizzy was a great hostess and was able to answer all my husbands questions about the hotel. My husband and I loved this hotel.

The farmhouse has been modernised and skilfully converted. The rooms were spotlessly clean and practically furnished. The breakfast left nothing to be desired and was all made with fresh or homemade products (granola, fruit salad, jam). Anna welcomed us in a very friendly and courteous manner. She puts her heart and soul into the business and is fully invested. We would definitely recommend it to others and look forward to coming back. Beautiful area, cabin was very clean and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed - good value for money. We also really appreciated the information booklet given as it was thorough and included nearby shops.

    Food was amazing.

    Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

    Beautiful part of the world.

    Beautiful part of the world. Hawkhurst is small but very well placed as a base for day-tripping from with a wealth of historic houses, gardens, castles etc within easy reach, plus good walking country.

    Really great place to stay in Hawkhurst. Good pub, good restaurant, comfortable room and really friendly staff. Came here for our wedding anniversary. Our room was a good size, with a lovely bath in the bedroom. The chocolate brownies in our room to go with tea were a lovely touch. Food in the restaurant was good too which meant you didn't have to go out. Located close to Rye, Hastings, lots of good walks and National Trust properties. Highly recommended.

    No breakfast buffet for 'continental breakfast' like most hotels have, but a list of options to select together with good hot food to go with it. Not an enormous selection, but all good and served quickly by friendly staff. Location-wise: look a the map to see where it is, but surprised to find large Tesco and Waitrose a few minutes walk away, so useful if you need them!

    Very lovely little studio nicely decorated, clean and smelling beautiful. Excellent toiletries. Well positioned in Hawkhurst and quiet. Nice little garden and privacy. Good walks on your doorstep and a decent pub nearby. Lovely host

    This hotel is on a very busy crossroads in the town of Hawkhurst. So there is easy access in all 4 directions. We know the area very well and liked the location. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area.
