There are so many interesting attractions locally and...
There are so many interesting attractions locally and Grangemouth puts you in easy traveling distance for both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Loved the Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Grangemouth is an industrial busy area but is close to all tourist and interesting facilities. Not a lot to be seen in the town just used it as a base and spent no time at all in the town. The personnal ot the hotel is really charming.
The personnal ot the hotel is really charming. Nice parking open air. The only regret : no elevator and my suitcase was so heavy. Close to two good attraction not far away = the Kelpies, fantastic inox sculpture and The Wheel, great technology. You can go to Linlithgow but the castle is closed for heavy restauration. Grangemouth itself is quite industrialised, but it does have a few gems dotted around. Namely the Kelpies, canal and just a short drive or cycle away the Falkirk wheel. There's some nice parks dotted around to walk or cycle in and if you have the time and energy the canal paths can take you all the way to Edinburgh or Glasgow.Guest review byJasonUnited Kingdom
