    Beautiful area.

Beautiful area. Sadly it rained for the first 2 days, but didn't detract from the beauty of the area. Great selection of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and a fantastic sunday dinner at the Albert.

We enjoyed walking around the town, despite the rain.

We enjoyed walking around the town, despite the rain. Car parking was expensive and it was busy, despite being term time. We had a delicious breakfast at a cafe over a bakery. We loved sitting at the lakeside watching the boats.

Bowness is a fabulous base to sightseeing from.

Bowness is a fabulous base to sightseeing from. It's a lovely little area of the Lake District. Very busy at times and too much traffic and not enough parking spaces. Best to get there early if you need to park. Lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. Sunday market. Lots to see and do.

This is the third time I have been back to Bowness this year. I love the art shops, the clothes shops and most importantly the home made fudge. So relaxing watching the boats on the lake and geting the ferry to the other side to walk up to Hill Top. It was a struggle to get my grandaughter away from the Beatrix Potter museum.

Bowness is good place to take a short break.

Bowness is good place to take a short break. The ferry trip to Lakeside and the short train ride was most enjoyable and very good value. The first two days were warm and sunny, but inevitably it poured down on the last day. Bowness was busy and eating out is expensive. Cafe '4' provides the best and least expensive meals in Bowness.

The hotel is in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere just set back off the Main Street and just seconds away from all the local amenities, pubs, restaurants. Thought it was a really nice touch emailing recommendations of places to eat, drink, visit on our stay. Very helpful if you have never visited the lakes before. Rooms were immaculate and was well worth the money. A little hidden gem. Definitely will be booking again.

The apartment is centrally located in Bowness on Windermere. Close to shops and very handy to lake Windermere. It contained everything we needed for our two night stay which was very comfortable. Ashley provided detailed instructions on how to access the apartment as well providing parking during our stay. We enjoyed walks around the village and taking ferry rides on the lake

Beautiful location with easy access to the restaurants etc. in Bowness on Windermere. Clean, comfortable room with outside balcony. Breakfast is exceptional and the best we've had in the UK. Waiting staff were efficient and friendly. Beautiful classical music played during breakfast added to the atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.
