This place is fantastic. Gorgeous grounds, lovely food and... Peacocks. We were upgraded to a bigger room as we were celebrating a birthday, and also got some chocolates and a handwritten card signed by all the staff! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Rooms were clean, swimming pool and gym was clean and food was amazing, there's just nothing bad to say about this hotel, truly surpassed my expectations, breakfast was well catered for alternative milk and food was hot, tasty and very enjoyable Reception desk the man who checked us in was super helpful, just accross the road is a M and S which is so handy for snacks and water and it's just 13 mins for Warner Bros studios, few minutes drive into Hemel Hempstead which is a lovely wee town also, I would stay here again and fully recommend it

What a lovely little place this is. Close to warner bros harry potter and only 30 minutes into london (5 min walk to the station) the staff were very accommodating i had a great stay!

The hotel is amazing. The facilities are brilliant. The staff at reception are very welcoming and the bar team, with Christian and the staff looking after you are very professional.

    Not a stranger to Berko, born and bred. All antique shops and estate agents when I was growing up now full of restaurants and coffee shops which is very nice when visiting. Canal side pubs great. Castle worth a visit.

    Comfy beds was only plus, room cross between caller and prison cell Windows ceiling height Not as clean as it should have been , especially in today's Covid times, cobwebs are clue to room not being properly, breakfast tepid first morning, but much better second morning definitely, not as high end as advertised, parking poor,

    I love Berkhamsted.

    I love Berkhamsted. Went with my friends couple of years ago and we shopped, had lunch and went to the Rex cinema which is great. Went with my husband a couple of weeks ago and did shopping, dinner and Rex cinema. The hotel location is great. We managed to get in the hotel car park which is off the Waitrose car park. Not sure of the parking costs if hotel car park was full. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and some lovely shops, my favourite being The Forge Boutique. The place isn't massive but would recommend for a one night stay and trip to the Rex.

    I think the house is a conversion of a traditional townhouse into a hotel. The room and en-suite are very spacious, with large windows with sunshine. The food in the restaurant is delicious, say salmon and pork belly.

    Great to be able to park at the back of the hotel and you are literally a 2minute walk to the town centre. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming and friendly!
