Plenty of National Trust and other "Brown Sign" properties and attractions close to the location. Only ate at the Appleby Inn, and the cafe at Moira Furnace as it was January, so many attractions were not open till the weekend, but all that information was available online when we planned our trip. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderfully clean room and excellent food options in the restaurant. We used the hotel as it was only ten minutes away for an event at Statfold Barn Railway the next day. Easy to get to as not far from the M42 and also very close to Twycross Zoo!
