We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in Helsinki. It was the best way of enjoying the snow (being Irish it is a novelty )and enjoying the peaceful forest surrounding the hotel. It was a great start to our christmas break before going into the city. It was magical and I did a morning hike around the grounds of the hotel. There was a big group having an event the day we were there and we had a fantastic dinner with the same menu as them. The room was simple but tasteful with a balcony facing the beautiful snowy landscape and a sweet forest aroma, and what a comfy bed! The next morning: great breakfast!
