We loved everything. Alicia was a very nice host. The apartment has everything we could want and more. Located in the center of Tejeda. The complimentary fresh bread, cheese and marmelade were very much appreciated. The restaurant recommendation was very good as well.

    Mountain town with beautiful surroundings. Many restaurants. On new years day only a few of them were open. Maybe the restaurant we choose was understaffed, we had to cancel our orders after waiting for more than an hour, without getting anything to eat.

    Tejeda is surrounded by great walks in complex scenery.

    Tejeda is surrounded by great walks in complex scenery. The village is located in a giant 20km diameter volcanic caldera with many rocky ridges around. The historic village is lovely, with lots of public parking available. Do leave plenty of time to travel there though as the roads to get there are tortuous, narrow, winding and slow. Therefore it's well worth staying a few nights in the place. Amazing and unusual place, well worth visiting.

    The mountain guide, Piergiorgio Pallara, chose a fantastic route for a pleasant hike near Tejeda. Another day we hiked from Texada Hostal to Artenara. After a day of hiking we enjoyed fine meals in Tejada’s restaurants.

    Tejeda is one of the most beautiful villages on the island.

    Tejeda is one of the most beautiful villages on the island. There's plenty of restaurants - also open in the evening (which is not obvious as a lot of them close at 17:00) and one of the best "dulcerias" of Gran Canaria.

    Set high up in the mountains Tejeda provides fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and rock features. It is also a good base to explore the whole island and the towns and views it offers. The bars and restaurants offer a good range of Canarian dishes. The main street is laid out as a precinct with some moving traffic with stunning balcony views of the surrounds.

    Beautiful town, loads of trails for hiking and running. Some really nice eateries and especially the famous almond dulcerias - come early in the morning as they get pretty busy in the middle of the day!

    The place is a gem, ideal for exploring the island. No matter where we went during the day, we ensured that we were back in the house to experience the most magical sunsets under the lemon tree. The house has everything, including its own private stunning view of Roque Bentayga. But the best thing about the house is the ray of sunshine that is Alicia and the very helpful Antonio. When we come back to Gran Canaria, there's no point in looking for accommodation anywhere else.

    The location is perfect for a stay in Tejeda. Just a short walk to everything, the Spa, cafes and restaurants all close by. Amazing views from the property. There is a park just outside the property with amazing views for the sunset each day, so don't worry if the upstairs apartment with a balcony isn't available, you can just go and sit in the park instead! Walking through the park is also a shortcut to the restaurants. There's also lots of friendly cats in the area.

    We stayed for just one night on a cycle tour. Eva was really friendly and let us put our bikes inside the hotel. We had a lovely spacious room on the second floor with great views from the terrace. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant recommended by the hotel. The breakfast was very good. We would love to return and stay for longer in this lovely part of the island.

    The room was unique and very cozy. Overall, the place had a very special atmosphere and a beautiful location. Everyone should have at least one stay at this place to experience it. If we have a trip to Gran Canaria again, we will definitely come back!
