A small town in Valencia province, said to be the gateway to the Calderon mountains. The Church (reconstructed) dedicated to Francis of Assisi, is worth the slight uphill walk just outside the town. - (Ermita de Sant Francesc d'Assís, Nàquera.) Access to the interior of the church seems limited, but the elevated location affords a great view of the surrounding countryside. . The town/village across the Barranca is quaint, but nothing to really write home about. You do need a car to visit some beautiful areas in the mountains (Serra) and surrounding towns. Also visited Sagunto, Valencia, Pucol, etc which were all a short drive away.
