The view from our balcony and the rooftop terrace is, in our view, the best in town. The breakfast is so good that exceeds our expectations. The room is spacious, very clean and we quite like the interior design. Staff is very friendly, helpful and considerate. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

    Pebble beach so you really have to hire a sunbed which costs 21 euros for two beds and a parasol. Cost mounts up if you are doing that every day. Old town up the hill was lovely. Lots of nice places to eat.

    Picturesque old town with new town for shopping and...

    Picturesque old town with new town for shopping and restaurants close by. Perfect for a more relaxed break. Tramline connecting to Calpe and Benidorm for €2.50 return if you want to see something different. Be prepared to channel your inner mountain goat as quaint traditional streets are certainly a steep climb.

    Lovely town, but if you want to spend time in the centre, its best to stay in town or have your own transport. If not, a resort hotel is a good choice too. Altea old town is extremely picturesque, with amazing views of the area. The beachfront promenade is also lovely, with plenty of restaurants amd bars to choose from.

    Altea is a beautiful village with an old town center on top of a hill. It's a lively town center with shops, restaurants, live music and beautiful sea views. It's a short drive to many wonderful hiking trails and even waterfalls. I much prefer a smaller village for getting to meet local people.

    Fantastic authentic Spanish town with combination of real local native Spanish and also tourist popular and very busy old town with pretty shops and great restaurants. Stunning church and best of views. Lovely beach and promenade area. Stunning views. Good public transport.

    Pretty town with some lovely restaurants, beautiful sights and gorgeous cobbled streets. Very steep in places but that was good for us as we never normally exercise on holiday! A relaxing place to be with lots of shops and some historic sites to see.

    A fairly compact room. Perfectly enjoyable for one night. Comfortable, clean with a shower room. Nicely decorated. No lift. Good breakfast, more than usual spanish breakfast offering in bar under hotel on sea front. Afternoon lass in bar was very helpful in aiding us to find codes etc for entry as reception unmanned when we arrived. Superb beach side location on northern end of Altea promenade. Close to restaurants etc.

    Loved the pools, and grounds. Overall lovely Hotel. Let down by the buffet food, and the 35 euro evening meal. Lack of choice for 35 euro, and all buffet food was cool, not piping hot as hot food should be. Food not up to standard for 5 star Hotel, in my opinion. We have eaten much better food in other local Hotels, that were 3 or 4 star. Staff fantastic, but food needs improving.

    The apartment is in the perfect location really close to the beach and only 10 mins walk from Altea old town. Cristina was the perfect host and replied very quickly to our messages. The blind was jammed in our bedroom when we arrived but she had it fixed very quickly for us. The pool was much better than expected and we spent a lot of time there with our kids.

    A traditional hostel in the enchanting old town of Altea. The stuff was very nice, they waited for us as we arrived after the check-in had closed. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable. Although very central, the room was pretty quiet. The hidden gem of the hostel is the terrace on the third floor with the best view of the old town of Altea. Magical!
