It was an exceptional stay, we loved every detail, from the great building the decorations, and warm welcome. The staff’s genuine friendliness. The experience at Helnan hotel Palace was truly exceptional. Staying at this hotel made us feel detached from the present, offering a tranquil haven of peace, serenity and a picturesque view. Our room was spacious, clean and with a balcony where we spend most of the time, the bed and pillows was comfortable too. The staff in the hotel were exceptional, they made sure we have the best view and comfort during our stay. We didn't get the chance to try their restaurants though. We'd surely stay again at this hotel on our next visit to Alexandria.

    Alexandria is a wonderful city with special lure that joins past and present. Good weather, long variable beaches, a lot of nice comfortable restaurants but avoid those within Qaitbai castle area as they are over priced. People are very nice and cooperative. There is a lot to visit in Alexandria that suits every one taste

    Alexandria is truly a beautiful city with so much charm and history. The weather was amazing—pleasant sea breeze, clear skies, and perfect temperatures for enjoying the beach and sightseeing. I loved the stunning Mediterranean views, the fresh seafood, and the relaxing coastal atmosphere. Walking along the Corniche was unforgettable, especially during sunset. The hospitality of the people made the trip even more special. Everything felt warm and welcoming, and it’s definitely a destination I would recommend for anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, culture, and great food. Can’t wait to visit again!

    We are from Cape Town, South Africa, and Alexandria felt like home where people are friendly, warm and hospitable... they are also a lot more honest than what we experienced in Cairo! The beach water is amazing too

    Alexandria is a city full of history and character, but it’s definitely an acquired taste—especially during the summer months from July through late September when it becomes extremely crowded. The traffic can be overwhelming and is by far the most frustrating part of the experience. That said, if you must visit, I highly recommend staying in the Montazah area. It offers a unique glimpse into Alexandria’s glorious past with its royal gardens and sea views—truly a nostalgic and serene corner of the city. For those seeking vibrant beach life and modern nightlife, the North Coast (Sahel) is a far better alternative than Alexandria during Summer season (July to September). Alexandria has its charm, but it shines brightest in the quieter, cooler winter months.

    An amazing city with enormous history and significance.

    An amazing city with enormous history and significance. I wish I'd planned my trip better, but tourist information isn't hugely available. I think we saw two other Europeans there, which for me felt like a win in being somewhere not many have the bravery to try. A truly wonderful experience in a country where locals are genuinely welcoming, friendly and accommodating.

    The room we booked is not the same as the one we firstly arranged to ,so we complain and negotiate with front desk ,they eventually give us a better option .which is nice ,not sure why they don’t arrange us to the old building at first ,but the new building is not safe ,and anyone like literally anybody could go inside ,it’s really not safe ,but the second room is amazing ,we can overlook the whole church area ,just feel like back to Europe ! Whole neighborhood is quiet and peace ,which is important since it’s Egypt !

    Terrible experience again in Egypt! I/we tried to call and text the owner, number incorrect not working! No communication nothing. Hours and hours later got response when i already asked for free refund. Confirmed but could not find the email for free cancellation blablabla... In other words Egyptian style, not being honest and being offensive and more. Well the truth hurts, escalated the case to several parties. DO NOT BOOK here!

    It was the most luxurious hotel in Alexandria. For a decent price, but not cheap at all, because tourists pay almost half of the price more than Egiptians, which is not a nice thing about Egypt. It had nice restaurants, since you cannot eat anything on streets in Alexandria.
