Daniela and Oscar are really great! Too bad we stayed only one night. The B&B is located close to the airport, the area is very quiet and the room was big and clean. Also, very delicious homemade and freshly prepared food! Highly recommended!

The staff is kind and willing to help us. At check in we had a problem with the price because the booking showed a different price and at the hotel they asked us for extra money but luckily the hotel manager came and we paid what the application said. A very kind gentleman and smiling. At breakfast there was an abundance of food, juices and coffees. The rooms were extremely clean and every two days we had new towels. From my room I had a view of the street and the mountain of Quito. I would definitely stay there again!!

We loved our 3-night stay at Hotel La Basilica! The staff were all warm & welcoming, and regularly checked in with us to ensure we had what we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the area and visiting local churches, restaurants and shops. The room and bed were quite comfortable, and we slept well in the peaceful setting. We also looked forward to the delicious breakfast they served each morning in the lovely courtyard. If you’re looking for a home base to explore Quito from, we can highly recommend Hotel La Basilica.

Great option to stay in Quito if you are looking for a quiet place and near to the old town. Moreover, there is a subway station around 200 m from Chakana Hotel and then you can go easily to other parts of the city. The hotel is beautiful, clean and peaceful. It's easy to find fresh fruits, vegetables, and rich Ecuadorian chocolate. Around every corner, you'll find unique arts and crafts, and if you're lucky, a random pop-up parade will add to the magic. "Vibrant" doesn't even begin to cover it—Quito's historic district is a sensory explosion that you have to experience to believe.

    Staff was always there to assist with luggage, questions, and arranging transportation. Buffet breakfast was fresh, delicious, well prepared and displayed. Room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel while visiting Quito.

    Take time to acclimate due to the elevation.

    Take time to acclimate due to the elevation. There is a lot of up hill walking in the historic district. You can take the bus as there is good public transport. Also, Quito town is higher than the airport. Airport is very modern and well laid out.

    Definitely take a walking tour of the old city, take the Teleferico (gondola) up to the mountain overlooking the city, and try out the chocolate and yummy local food. Make sure to plan for traffic when getting around, though!

    The buildings and the city is beautiful.

    The buildings and the city is beautiful. Go to La Compañia, San Francisco Church and the Museum, Virgen del Panecillo, Telesferiqo and visit Guayasamin Museum. The food is good but not surprising. The conditions in the downtown are difficult. Too much poverty and it is dirty. To be honest, a day and a half is more than enough. And you have to be careful about safety and hygiene issues.

Generous, varied breakfasts with different Ecuadorean speciality each day. Plenty of good quality towels - so often hotels limit guests to one each but Adamas supplied three! Very pleasant and helpful staff.
