Very central location, but difficult to find in a car. Parking close by, but not cheap. Very spacious room in historic building. Nice to have a coffee machine in the room. A great view from a front facing room. The Lorelei was a friendly and tasty restaurant with pleasing ambience, inside and out. Lovely beer garden in the centre near the theatre. The city of Coburg was beyond our expectations!
The city of Coburg was beyond our expectations! It has an impressive castle with an excellent museum inside, as well as a big palace and a very beautiful old town with an exquisite market square, one of the most beautiful in Bavaria. Beyond the old town, there are lots of beautiful private houses built in the late 19th - early 20th century. We had only half a day and a morning in Coburg and visited only the castle, unfortunately, but I hope to return and have a tour of the ducal palace as well!Guest review byNataliaRussia - 10.0

Coburg is an excellent example of a typical old German city. The architecture is gorgeous, there is beautiful, giant old fortress filled with some incredible history, and just about every restaurant serves very good traditional German cuisine. We went there for the Samba festival weekend, it was really amazing and worth checking if you are into this type of thing. Mixed ages, everyone was dancing on the streets, great street food, excellent performances and great small or big Samba bands from all over Europe! It is located in a quiet neighbourhood. It has two buildings connected by bridges and an elevator. The room was very cosy with all the necessary things. The bathroom was big with a very practical shower. The breakfast was extraordinary! First, you have a huge choice of bakery products, followed by a meat and cheese selection.
