We visited Golfito due to its convenience to nearby wildlife viewing (particularly birding) opportunities. A car is a must for this, so if you are not renting a vehicle, this option is not recommended. The property also provides good opportunities for fishing charters. Golfito is a very pretty area on the shores of the Golfito Bay with a variety of activities and restaurants and bars, and overall a very good range of facilities. A great base to explore the surrounding Parks and Bays and the Gulf with a ferry across to Puerto Jimenez.
