Location was amazing right at the end of the Lauterbrunnen valley! Stunning views! Close to Schilthorn cable car, so you could get to Murren or Gimmelwald easily. Great easy walking tracks along the base of the valley could walk to waterfalls and through farmland. Great access to the big hikes in UNESCO park as well. Not much else around in terms of shops and eating places - do be aware of that but for us we knew that and loved the location! Although easy to get bus about 20 mins to town of Lauterbrunnen. Bathrooms were good, kitchen had most amenities. Bus 141 was easy to get up the valley, came frequently.

The nature is amazing there all around. The hotel.is nice, clean, with restaurant and very important - with parking included. The price is lower than the rest of hotels in Lauterbrunnen. I do recommend it!

We had a memorable stay and will return for sure. It is quintessential rural Switzerland at its finest-- with the gentle sound of cowbells ringing through the valley. Note that if you have roller bag, you really need to use their transport service, and the road getting up is quite steep -- but it is totally worth it. Oliver and Sarah made our stay extra special. We enjoyed the beautiful views out our window, the snacks and juices in the room and the fantastic breakfast. We also were wowed by Oliver's cooking and thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Hotel on both nights of our stay. With so many hiking trails right outside the door, we would have loved to stay for weeks!

First, the high quality and professionalism of the hotel staff were what separated this hotel from others. They were consistently courteous, efficient and willing to engage with the guests.     Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Stunning scenery. The house very simple and that was just perfect for us. Lauterbrunnen was very bustling with tourists but out by Stechelberg where the Alpenhof mountain house is situated there is just mountains, and quiet, only sound the nearby waterfall .. simply idyllic. The hostess Diane is very friendly and helped us a lot, everything is very informal and easy going

    This place is for people who don't like to see other people :-). The chalet is located at the end of the road in Stechelberg, so you don't have much traffic. The hotel restaurant is about 50m from the chalet. The chalet itself has a terrace with unbeatable panoramic view of the mountains including Breithorn. This is an ideal place for relaxation or hiking or both. Highly recommended!
