Our host Markus was very friendly and communicative. He sent in advance all the necessary info and even provided an extra matress to the room as a useful upgrade. The accommodation is all fine, suitable for 4 people and has its own access to the building via side staircase. Keybox check-in went smoothly thanks to detailed instructions we got. Special thanks to Rothenthurm parking facilities. Parking was originally announced to be paid, but on the parking machine on the place, there were instructions to get a free ticket for 24 hours. Nice surprise, it's very rare in Switzerland. Just a small detail, but it makes a visitor feel more welcome and less like just a money source... :)

Absolutely amazed with level of comfort and standard of hotel , especially after reading some reviews. Beautiful , modern and well designed hotel, only approx 30 mins drive from Schwyz and Stoos funicular, next to the highway but well soundproofed so could not hear any noise from outside. Very spacies rooms and comfy beds. Free access to underground car park. Breakfast was excellent with variety of food for everyone. Staff very friendly and helpful. Shame could not stay longer. Would definitely book again for future stay in that area. Highly recommend

    Rothenthurm is a great place to stay due to the railway running through the village, You don't need to have a car to be able to vist a lot of attractions within 60 minutes in any direction. The moor and assorted walking and cycling tracks give plenty of options for fitness and siteseeing.

    It was not possible to pay in advance, in the restaurant...

    It was not possible to pay in advance, in the restaurant where we were supposed to pay, the staff was very rude that it was not their business. He made us pay in cash into the desk drawer, without a bill and then they said the payment wasn't there. I gave the money and I have witnesses to that. Before the staff went to collect the money, there were other guests and the cleaning lady after us. Very unpleasant behavior indeed. I do not recommend. In addition, we could hear cars driving from the street all night.
