Interesting town, felt very much like a frontier settlement.
Interesting town, felt very much like a frontier settlement. Tourist information bureau was very helpful. Lac st Jean is big! Excellent chocolate shop on south side of the lake on the road to Roberval. Bought a pickup truck at one the the Ram dealership, sight unseen. I got such a good feeling from the people I spoke with that I was able to make this purchase without worry. Seems to be an indication that Alma is a great place and so much better than big city business. I would travel the 6 hours again.Guest review byProchnau

Croissant breakfast sandwich. Orange juice and coffee. The hostess is delightful. A wonderful place to stay inAlma. This was our second visit as we circled the lake by bike.
