Friendly community, time permitting we would have explored more of Cobden's & surrounding areas facilities & attractions.
Cafe has great Coffee, fresh baked date scones & interesting knick-nacks 2 purchase.
Our G/son was eager 2 go 2 Squash courts (visible from balcony). After dark, Flouro lit social squash could be a draw card 4 younger & young @ heart families.

Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself...
Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself is really lacking facilities and the pub was closed so we ate at the Golf Club which was really poor.
Would recommend going up the road and exploring Camperdown which is a stunning town with more food options.

Fantastic view from all windows, it was fun spotting the cows and we even had some come up on the other side of the fence near the cottage one morning.
There’s so much to do during down time with plenty of games, books, dvds and cds plus the pool table and dart board. The aircon worked well to cool the place on sunny afternoons and the bed was quite comfy.
Robyn was a lovely host who showed us around and provided a well-stocked kitchen!
We would definitely recommend a stay at Cobden Crest Cottage and hope to be back soon!

This is very quiet place where people live, but the pub is not suitable to people stay overnight: (1) no A/C; (2) no private bathroom; (3) no good bedding under Australia hotel standard and (4) no microwave in room. In fact, this pub is very old and poor if it is as hotel for people stay overnight. I like to say “it is not suit to a family’s travelling actually”. Also I understand that it will need much money for improving its facilities. It is a risk investment.

Good location, very quiet and peaceful. Small tv but was great having access to Chromecast. Good having access to an extra warm blanket as it was very cold weather. A 10 min walk into very quite town..nice bakery for breakfast and Thommo's hotel does great meals. Only 3 CUB beers on tap so not great for Craft Beer drinkers. Nice day trip taking in Timboon (Whiskey distillery), Camperdown (nice town/shops and architecture) and Port Campbell (Brewery and apostles.)

Beautiful decor, the room was immaculate and we enjoyed lovely hospitality from Kathryn and Andrew. Cobden is within 1hr driving distance of the Great Ocean Rd, Warrnambool and the Otway Ranges, making it a lovely quiet spot to rest. Will definitely be back to try a different room and enjoy the hospitality again!
