Always a lovely town to visit - spectacular Rhododendrons Garden - nearby Mt Wilson Private Gardens even more beautiful and extensive. Wait until mid October for peak flowering though you'll miss the daffodils by then.

I went to Blackheath to visit wineries in the Megalong Valley Dryridge Estate and Megalong Creek Estate. Its a lovely drive down into the valley. I also did a bit of antique shopping and a short bushwalk. I have a full day and really enjoyed it. At night I went to the pub for a meal and a few beers but there are other options. Had breakfast at a local café.

There are so many options for food lovers.

There are so many options for food lovers. Bars, small restaurants with few intimate tables, gastropub (The New Ivanhoe) and a variety of coffee venue choices with great coffee. There is a tremendous antiques store you could get lost in and a stunning community built swimming pool with 100 year old Rhododendrons. A short drive to lookouts with many walking tracks for various abilities.

Blackheath is one of my favourite towns in the Blue Mountains with the Antiques and Vintage Center -a must to visit. They have a once a month market as well which is well stocked and has a lot of diverse stalls. Several coffee shops and other businesses on the main street are interesting to visit. If it coincides with the season, visiting the Rhododendrum Gardens is another not to be missed. There are several well-signalled look-outs in the area with breathtaking views of the mountains.

Motel is in a good location and is clean and well presented.

Motel is in a good location and is clean and well presented. However, the shower door won’t close and the shower head sprayed everywhere. We like the motel and this is our second stay but it needs a more effective maintenance program

    Love Blackheath so much!

Love Blackheath so much! First time there and it was my fave suburb. The trees were so beautiful! It’s very cute and cosy. Not a lot to see and do but the cafes I visited were great along with some of the shops. Coffee was amazing. I loved walking around the streets. Altitude and Blackheath deli were the best spots

Lovely little old cottage completely revamped with modern equipment and decore. Very clean and tidy. Peaceful outlook into garden and lawn. Uphill stroll to cafes and pubs which is downhill stroll home (big plus). Quaint shops in the township and great view of Megalon Valley at Mount Blackheath. Dont forget to stop at the Logan Brae Orchard for an apple pie. We had a lovely refreshing stay.

We liked the view from the back of the house, the beds were reasonably comfortable, good hot water, good supply of chopped hardwood for the great fire place, walkable to pubs, restaurants & shops & easy drive down into the Megalong Valley. You do need earplugs if your a light sleeper, take your own kindling & fire starters if you go in winter, plenty of chopped hardwood supplied.

The cottage is beautifully appointed, met and even exceeded our expectations. The kitchen has everything you need for a self cater, just perfect! The bathrooms were wonderful with the heated floor and towel rails. We would certainly return when next in Blackheath.
