This hotel was so much better than I was expecting and I was completely charmed by the staff and room. We just needed a place to stay overnight that was close to the train station as we were visiting a local festival in the morning and visiting the spa in town in the afternoon, but this hotel completely surpassed my expectations. The employees were really nice and helpful and the breakfast was exceptional. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was also very good and well-priced. The room had a large balcony with a beautiful view and was full of lovely wooden furniture. If we come to Fugen again, we'll definitely stay here.

Staying at this hotel was a one-of-a-kind experience—like spending a night in an interactive museum, where you can touch each exhibit and feel like a part of history. You can take unique photos, read old books, and gain insight into what life was like in the castle. The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque, and I loved enjoying the mountain view through the window. Our stay was comfortable—the room was clean and fully equipped, and the breakfast was varied and nourishing. The Wi-Fi was occasionally slow, but it turned out to be a perfect opportunity for a digital detox. While having a car might be more convenient, we traveled by train, and reaching the castle on foot from the nearest station or by bus was not a problem. Overall, my expectations were exceeded, and I highly recommend spending a holiday at Matzen Castle.

Newly renovated with the old and new perfectly combined to create a truly unique and exceptionally beautiful hotel in Zillertal Valley in Tirol Austria. Stunning architecture, rooftop pool with an incredible spa, and delicious food. The rooms are modern and very comfortable with everything you need. Everything is so well thought out and executed that I really have nothing to complain about. I can't wait to go back!

Rooms are quite big, modern and very clean. Very good breakfast and the staff from restaurant very friendly. Located at 15 20 min from Hoch Zillertal or Zillertal Arena was convinient for a ski holiday.

Hello :) We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Haidachhof, excellent position, fantastic services and outstanding spa experience ( the outdoorpool - hot drinks). Rooms are very cosy, designed to the detail. Hotel’s atmospher is very friendly-family like. We had half -board, but the hotel offers buffe services between 14:00 -17:00 which was amazing with great choice of tasty dishes hot and cold. Breakfasts and dinners are great. Dinner service with lovely presentation of the main dishes and again bufe with wide variety of cold and hot dishes. Thank you and we hope to see you again ❤️ Lucy + Martin
