    We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight...

    We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight in our accommodations. However, it was perfectly located for our planned day trips - visits to the peak of the Zugspitze, nearby alpine lakes, and castle visits (Ehrenberg, Hohenschwangau, and Neuschwanstein), including a walk back and forth over the Highline 179 suspension bridge and ziplining down to the parking lot. If we had had more time, would have spent it exploring Berwang itself. Can't say enough about how beautiful the area is.

    The breakfast was incredible.

    The breakfast was incredible. Loved being able to sit outside and enjoy our breakfast. The pool and saunas were a highlight too. We loved our large room with lots of space for the 4 of us. Lots of great options for dinner nearby as well.

    The picturesque surroundings and the numerous opportunities for hiking and skiing are absolutely fantastic. The ambiance is inviting, and the local community is friendly, adding to the overall appeal of the resort.

    Beautiful view from our cozy chalet.

    Beautiful view from our cozy chalet. The host had great communication & was helpful in suggesting day trips & spectacular hikes from the front door of the chalet. Our chalet was the perfect base to visit Neuschwanstein, the Parknach Gorge, the Zugspitze & other lovely hikes that the host suggested. The host provided a lovely meal breakfast every morning. Our room was very comfortable & spotlessly clean. We only regret we couldn’t stay longer. It is a tremendous accommodation! We loved it!!

    The location was absolutely perfect! Once you get there by car there are a lot of walkable paths! Some to the summits of the nearby mountains or viewpoints. The Zugspitze mountain is also a short drive away by car and it was even visible from our apartment! The whole stay was absolutely splendid. The apartment is as pictured and very new and clean. There were some necessities like salt and pepper, coffee filters etc.

    Lovely hotel run by Seiglinde, who manages to be cheerful and charming in any language despite the fact that I spoke no German and she had little English. Sparkling clean. The breakfast was lovely and handmade, and the views around the hotel are beautiful.
