This spot is incredible. The rooms felt modern and had everything we needed for a short stay. The staff was very friendly. We had lunch and breakfast here and very much enjoyed ourselves. We were even sad we didn't have our dinner there too. The location initially seemed far from the castle and old town but there is a shortcut. It is a steep 8mins walk to get to the castle but doable.

Maradona and his family are great hosts. We were about to miss the last bus from Sarande to Gjirokastër but Maradona manage to phone the bus driver and arranged us to get the bus. He was kind enough to come and pick us from the bus terminal for free and aways there to drop and pick us from anywhere we go for free, specially from the old town. Great hospitality. The room was very clean and big enough. very good breakfast.

The hotel is fantastic, everything was like in a fairy tale, the hotel was located on a historic street in the city of Gjirokastra which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Near the hotel is also the house-museum of the most famous Albanian writer Ismail Kadare whose books were written inspired by the street path on which this hotel located,books you can find in the hotel lobby. The room was very comfortable, the details left us speechless from the water with rosemary and various snacks . The details of the hotel are amazing and the hospitality was very warm. The lobby is very warm there you will find a beautiful fireplace and a beautiful bar that can serve anything you want,the breakfast was great,the details of the hotel tell a lot about the beautiful city, we can't wait to come back again to enjoy the view, the hospitality, the comfort, the cleanliness that this hotel brings. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay. The location was perfect, very close to the centre of town and right below the castle yet located such that you can enjoy the views and tranquility rather the city centre party music. The room was wonderfully done up, very modern and comfortable. The best was the service as the people were wonderful and always ready to help with a smile. Our best stay in Albania!

Thanassis is the greatest host, warm, friendly and accomodating. His somewhat remote place rewards you with new and spotless rooms, great views, a fantastic breakfast with local products and otherworldly serenity! Was there with my adventure bike, stayed for two nights and when I left, it felt that I was there for a whole week. The last 2,7 kms to Bujtina KOEL are off-road (starting from St. Mary's church in Labovë), but are manageable even with a normal car if you are careful. Just follow the blue signs to Bujtina KOEL. If you miss the first one, as you will be coming from the West into the village of Labovë, turn left when you face the church in front of you. A lovely hotel and a lovely stay! Everything was fresh and clean, the staff were helpful and polite. The room felt luxurious and lovely, but it was very small. With one big suitcase and two people it was a bit difficult, but for a boutique hotel it's to be expected. Might be better for solo travellers.
