Cabins in Tangalle

The place is perfectly located between the lagoon and the beach. The surroundings are astonishing with a lot of wild animals (sea turtles, monkeys, iguanas, birds). The family running the hotel is very kind and the food is amazing. The owner will help you to plan any excursion around and can also arrange it for you. For the moment, it has been the best place where we have stayed in Sri Lanka.

We are a young couple from Austria and found the villas through coincidence. We recently spent a few nights at the Tomorrowland Hostel in Ella. (where the hospitality far exceeded typical hostel standards.) When we mentioned our plans to travel to the South Coast, Tomorrowland’s Guest Relations Officer, Pooja, introduced us to their brand-new upscale boutique property—Tomorrowland Beach Villas in Rekawa, Tangalle—promising a luxurious all-inclusive experience. We decided to give it a try From the moment we arrived at the property, it felt like a slice of paradise. We were warmly welcomed by two wonderful hosts who greeted us with cool, refreshing towels and freshly squeezed fruit juices—an incredibly thoughtful touch after our journey. Hungry from the trip, we were soon treated to the best hash browns we’ve ever had—crispy, golden, and delightfully thick, almost the size of a deep-dish, medium pizza! Accompanied by perfectly boiled eggs, a plate of fresh tropical fruits, and organic tea from Sri Lanka’s highlands, the breakfast set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The all-inclusive package included a magical canoeing trip on the serene Rekawa Lagoon and a spectacular beachside dinner. We've never come across an all-inclusive experience of this caliber in Sri Lanka. From the romantic cabins with extra-long beds to the wide, luxurious sunbeds on the private beach, every detail of our stay was designed for comfort and indulgence. The warm hospitality, exquisite food, unlimited drinks, and impeccable service made our experience truly exceptional. It's a real insider tip, still spared from the crowds of tourists ;) We cannot recommend this place enough. Wow! Wow! Wow! We loved our stay at Triangle Tangalle Bungalow. First we booked two nights, ended up staying almost one week! For us it was the best stay in Sri Lanka. The bungalow is brandnew made by lots of modern, beautiful and stunning details. Everything what you need is there and in high quality. At the terrace of the bungalow you can get a special fish therapy for your feet.The bungalow is surrounded by unique flora and fauna. We enjoyed it every day when we get the best breakfast served by the nice owner Sijan. He is an amazing and attentive person! We can recommend that family place 100% for everyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed, calm and very special place in Sri Lanka. It is also close to the beach. If we come back to Tangalle, we will come again. ස්තුතියි Sijan for everything 🙏

Close to small food stall. Close to beautiful beaches

Everything was so well prepared, the ac in our room worked perfectly and all of the basic amenities were there. The location is just perfect, 2 minutes walking to the secret beach which is so far the most beautiful one I’ve seen in Sri Lanka. Outside there is a shower so don’t worry about the sand in your shower. There is a kitchen with fridge and stove, we bought a tuna steak in Tangalle and when asked about using the stove the owner even brought us some spices!

Beautiful Rock Violet . We were blown away by hospitality on arrival - drinks and snacks sat outside enjoying the garden well presented gardens. The food is amazing. This host goes above and beyond to prepare not only incredible tasting food but presentation was beautiful. Host was so friendly and at hand if we needed anything. Outside the cabanas downstairs you are welcomed by the lovely mural and then leading into the spacious bedroom area. The property was so clean and smelt nice, lovely big bed, AC and spacious bathroom. The WiFi worked well and a walk away from shop and beach . We would have wished to stay longer and highly recommend to others... you will not be disappointed with value . Thanks again

We had an amazing stay at these cabanas. The host family was wonderful and incredibly helpful. They cooked us a delicious christmas dinner. They even decorated a Christmas tree for us. Served excellent breakfasts, and even provided transportation with their own car. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Ajantha's place is a truly special find. He has only just reopened, hence the lack of reviews showing online. But it really is an amazing place to stay. There is only one chalet, which is very private and spacious. The chalet is surrounded by a tropical garden and has Aloe Vera Garden Restaurant next to it. The restaurant serves delicious food - I recommend the chicken soup (freshly made for each order with lots of veggies). The staff there are friendly, too. The chalet includes a double bed plus a large singled bed. Both of which have mosquito nets all around them. There is also a private terrace to chill out on. I loved the little details, like the pretty shapes made in the bedsheets and welcoming us with a coconut when we arrived! The place was very clean and we had fresh towels and sheets. Ajantha was there for us if we needed anything (like picking up big 5 litre water bottles from the shop) while also giving us our privacy.

Amazing place with amazing host! I highly recommend this jungle paradise near the ocean to everyone who tired of crowded places and needs privacy and quality rest, I will come back again for sure! Treehouse is inspiring, there you can wake up and hug the tree inside your room 🙂 P.S. Ask there for homemade food, it’s veeeery delicious. This space really made with love!
