His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

This is by far the best thing that we have done in Morocco and the best thing we have done as a family of four to date. Younes and his team were the most exceptional hosts. He contacted us way before the trip via WhatsApp to ensure that everything was in place. His team were calm and understanding with our 3 year old and 9 month old. It's cold at night as we were there in December. But we had anticipated this and brought sleeping bag for our toddler and a snow suit for the baby. Desert camping was a dream as a family

Located close to the Erg Lihoudi dunes. Not big dunes, but you can experience the sand colors during sunset and sunrise. The road to the camp is accessible to any type of car. The communication with the host was perfect, and I was waited in the nearby village to be guided to the camp. Comfortably sleeping in the tent. Clean toilet, hot water, shower. Good meals, but the dinner is overpriced. If you need wifi, the hosts provide hotspot access on their phones. Otherwise, note that Internet over Orange is not reliable. The hosts are very attentive and caring, persistently asking if everything is ok.

Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

So many stars! great rooms and delicious food! the staff is super friendly and helpful! they can organize everything for you from pick up from the airport to short or long excursions to live and explore the amazing desert by dromedars or 4X4. 100% recomendable!

Ofreciendo vista a la montaña, Camp Mbark authentic en Mhamid ofrece hospedaje, un jardín, una terraza, un restaurante y instalaciones para parrilladas. Mubarak was an amazing host. He wanted for us to take us to the camping the middle of the dunes, and hosted a wonderful Berber dinner, and fire party for us. We are grateful to him and his crew. The place is beautiful. A true desert experience. We look forward to coming back.

Contando con vista a la ciudad, Erg Chigaga Regency Camp en El Gouera cuenta con hospedaje, un jardín, un salón compartido, una terraza, un restaurante y acceso a una pista de esquí. 10/10 doesn’t describe how amazing this stay was! A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!

Situado en Rhessouane, Door sahara cuenta con hospedaje con WiFi gratis y un jardín con una terraza y vista a la montaña. Nos alojamos dos noches durante un tour por el sur de Marruecos. Esta fue la mejor parada. La habitación es sencilla pero limpia y la comida casera.
