I liked Hunters little house very much! You're on your own, it's comfortable and cozy, there's everything you need and it has everything you would expect in a hunters house - except hunting trophies. :-) The hosts are very nice. I started and ended my journey through Iceland there. It is ideal to take a trip to Gardskagi and enjoy the sunset and the view of the breathtaking Snaefellsjökull. And N1 is only 2 Minutes away if you have to fill up your rental car for the last time. I will definitely stay there again. ❤
Came for an over-night sleep because of a long layover in Iceland, and booked a dorm last minute when I arrived at the airport at around midnight. Very nice staff, good breakfast buffet that starts at 4am, reception open all night so easy to check-in for a late arrival, and quiet dorm room w hot shower. Every accommodation in Iceland was expensive but this was the cheapest option in the area near the airport.
- As beautiful as in picture, and only 15 min away from the airport. It was the perfect place to conclude our trip. - It's in a quiet fishing village, very close to the light houses where you could go and watch wildlife and learn about the town's history. - Very easy to visit attractions on Reykjanes' Blue Diamond route from here - Super well-equipped and the host pays so much attention to details. There's pretty much all amenities you'd need. -The view is breath-taking - The bathtub!!
Beautiful location and the skies cleared for a view of the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Incredible sunset, delicious breakfast. The staff were very helpful and my children said these were the best showers of the trip. The perfect way to end our adventure.
Beautiful location. We had a lovely walk on the beach watching the sunset. Spacious comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Dinner at the on site El Faro restaurant was exceptional with excellent service and great food. Definitely recommend.
Second time we've stayed here. Only 10-15 minutes from the airport. Cracking sunsets and northern lights. In a quiet location that is in the countryside, yet next to the sea. Nice lighthouse 5 minutes walk. Nice big rooms and enormous, comfy bed. Good base for first or last night and exploring the Reykjanes peninsular. Buffet breakfast. It's set back from a quiet road and has free parking. TV had a couple of UK channels. Marta on reception is lovely.
