Pierre and Manon who are running this property with a lot of LOVE are incredible people worthy of admiration! They bought a house with a good amount of land around it and have constructed several cabins, a yoga deck, a restaurant and a boat house over the last few years. Ataraxia has its own pier, so boatmen will easily take you there from Isla Colon. At the back of the property, there is a nature reserve, a jungle with so many treasures! We were able to spot the red frogs, caimans, a racoon, yellowtail birds, giant turquoise butterflies, turtles, giant ants, we rented a free kayak and paddled through the mangroves nearby, and we walked on several occasions to Old Bank, the main village on Isla Bastimentos, and once to Wizzard Beach. Manon also booked us a trip to Zapatilla (including sloth, dolphin and starfish spotting and snorkeling) and Pierre arranged our transportation to the airport. Several ideas for activities in the area conveniently presented in a booklet in the room (Zapatilla trip, Wizzard Beach hike, Red Frog & Polo Beach, bio-luminescence tour, etc.). Free kayaks and snorkeling gear available. If you are into botany and medicinal plants, you will have a lot to talk about with Pierre who planted so many of them around the property. Running a guesthouse in the middle of the jungle is a hard task, yet the couple somehow manage it and always keep smiling and interacting with guests at all times. Thank you very much, we will never forget our stay with you! You are a true inspiration! Be aware that: there is no hot water or AC and you cannot use a hairdrier, as the place runs on solar energy. There is wifi. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very spacious. Cold drinks available in the common fridge and option to have dinner. Tasty and creative breakfast included.

Carmen y Marcel son anfritiones maravillosos, preocupados en todo momento de hacernos sentir en casa lo que genera un ambiente familiar con los demás huéspedes. Estuvimos en la habitación de 4, camas muy cómodas, ventiladores y ducha muy buena. La comida es deliciosa, por 25 usd tienes una entrada y plato de fondo del que te puedes repetir cuántas veces quieras. Una noche comimos sopa, gulash de carne y pescado con salsa agridulce, arroz salteado y un guiso de verduras, todo maravilloso. Otra noche, croqueta de pescado, pizza y pasta con camarones, un festín! El desayuno super abundante y rico: café, mucha fruta, pan, queso, omelet y unos panqueques deliciosos. Nos vamos agradecidos de la hospitalidad y el cariño de Carmen y Marcel y de las interesantes conversaciones que pudimos compartir con ellos.

You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

Se come excelente sin necesidad de mover al pueblo. Sara y Alex son muy buenas personas, siempre ayudando en todo momento. El lugar un sueño. Dormir en medio de la selva fue mágico. La comida espectacular. Las instalaciones muy cuidadas y cómodas. La piscina y todo el lugar en general siempre impecable.

Lots of storage space so you can unpack. Great kitchen. They are very attentive to your comfort. We had one of the air conditioners break down when it was determined that is could not be repaired they had it replaced right away. It is only really needed in the evening and night time for comfort and sleeping. During the day open the doors and windows and the breeze is great. A very comfortable home and a great place to unwind.

My husband and I decided to spend a week in Bastimentos. It is a calm place to stay at. The location is perfect, everything's nearby, and it's right in the middle of Old Bank. The deck is a great place to just relax, chill, read a book, listen to some music or watch the sunset. Even though the kitchen is small, it has most necessary things. When in need of a water taxi, please ask for Maya. He's nice, responsible, and very punctual. Finally, the star of our stay, and the cherry on top were the daily breakfast options offered by Kiosco&Pescador. Eunice was the kindest and her food was the most delicious.

If I could rate more then 10, I would to it. Nice location in the caribien jungle, on the island, awesome rooms and food. The owners are very nice and always help you if u need anything.

Estuvimos unos días en la cabaña sobre el mar y un par en la casa del árbol y nos encantaron los dos!! El lugar es increíble. Una de las chicas de recepción, no recuerdo el nombre ( es chilena) es un encanto y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Vimos varios Perezosos!!
