We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. The room was very cozy, clean, and had a beautiful terrace — perfect for relaxing. The location is convenient, and the outdoor pool was a great way to unwind after a long trip — we really enjoyed swimming and resting there. The host was very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money. We only wish we had more time to enjoy it!

First of all - the host, was very hospitable and professional with everything. He was very nice and arranged Safari for us even though we arrived quite late. Delicious breakfast (view dishes, we even got king coconut water freshly made). Beautiful place with unique climate! Very clean, with AC and hot water. We recommend it so much!

I am very happy with my choice of this hotel. It is located just a 5-minute jeep ride from the national park, yet far enough from the main road to ensure complete peace and quiet. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden, where peacocks, squirrels, lizards, and other wildlife freely roam. It was wonderful to be immersed in the sounds of nature, making it feel like an extension of the safari experience. The rooms, especially those on the first floor, are spacious and very comfortable. The food was good, with both à la carte and buffet options available. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pool was well-maintained.

Amazing location really close to the entrance of the national park and super lovely hosts who were happy to help with absolutely anything. We did the safari tour organised through the hosts which was amazing, really knowledgeable guide and the best Sri Lankan breakfast (food and view!) we have had so far!

My stay in this house felt like a dream. The entrance to the room is surrounded by greenery, giving the impression of being in the middle of the jungle. We also had a safari organized with them, led by a young and capable guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast in the national park was not only very pleasant but also delicious. Dinner, however, was not satisfying compared to other meals we had in Sri Lanka — the portion of chicken was very small, and overall the food felt a bit lacking.

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Janik and his mother Schwarna are lovely people who really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!
