There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

This place on Sumba is truly unlike anywhere else I have ever been. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat on a remote island with incredibly kind locals, this is the perfect spot. Secluded does not mean lacking in service—the host made sure everything was well provided. Delicious breakfasts are served by the friendly staff, and you can also order lunches and dinners to your villa, all of which are of excellent quality. The island itself has surprisingly good roads, so you can rent a practically new scooter on-site and enjoy exploring the entire island while taking in stunning views. The host is exceptionally warm and makes you feel at home from the very first moment. And if you still need to work while away, each villa is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi. A hidden gem on a hidden island—I can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic villa, only 4 villas very spacious clean and Private, the staff are amazing and really take an interest in looking after you. Food was very good with good variety. We will be back with a few more friends and family. Someone commented about the road in, and how bad it was, it’s actually not to bad as far as Sumba goes, we hired a scooter from the Villas and really explored the area. We would have stayed loner but unfortunately they were booked out. 5 nights was not long enough.

Umarato Villa Sumba tiene una alberca al aire libre, jardín, un salón compartido y terraza en Rua. One of the most beautiful properties we have seen- the view, the villa and especially the service (Jois was exceptional)- pure luxury. Highly recommended!

Sima Sumba Hotel cuenta con una alberca al aire libre, gimnasio, un jardín y restaurante en Tambolaka. Este hotel de 4 estrellas ofrece un bar. Escogimos este hotel por su cercania al aeropuerto, es muy nuevo, la gente muy amable, el servicio bueno y la comida muy rica, un lugar sin lujos exagerados pero muy completo, para familias me parece ideal
