El hotel Strand está situado en Schmerikon, en una ubicación fantástica junto al lago de Zúrich. El alojamiento tiene su propia playa pequeña, reservada solo para los huéspedes del hotel. Our room overlooking the water was spacious and beautifully decorated- my husband, who can be critical, remarked that it was one of the nicest rooms we had been to in an extended time. Lovely small veranda to sit and view the water along with goats (and cute kid goats) grazing outside. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and was fresh. Dinner also lovely with good service and nice tables again with water views. There are plentiful tables outside but the weather was a little cool so we sat inside.

There was a choice of restaurants and bars nearby and local bakeries and supermarkets. Will definitely return.

The hosts, Charlotte and Tibor, met us on arrival and were available to answer any questions. We could tell they took great pride in the property and wanted us to have a pleasant stay. The location was beautiful and close to the family we were visiting. We will likely return when we visit Zurich again.

The washer/dryer were excellent, as was the clearly marked parking space. Great walking access to the local bakery and grocery store. Locals were very friendly.
