I had a wonderful experience at Coco Cottage. The location is perfect — just a short walking distance to the kite surfing area, making it very convenient for kite surfers. The room was comfortable and clean, with a cozy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The breakfast was tasty and gave me great energy for the day ahead. Most importantly, the staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend Coco Cottage for anyone visiting Kalpitiya for kite surfing or just to relax.

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

An incredibly stylish and beautiful hotel. I was looking for a calm place and this was a perfect match. However, you can socialize if you want. Jessie, the manager, is doing his job with a strong sense of responsibility, Ansalees and other employees are highly professional and kind. Hotel boat can take you to the beach. The place is very popular for kitesurfers and the beach was very windy during my stay, but you can relax perfectly at the hotel pool. The atmosphere there is idyllic. Food was really tasty.

The family/owners were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and courteous. I loved the tranquillity of the accommodation, the sound of the birds, and the palm trees.. the Boras were very functional, and the bed was very comfortable 😴 Definitely recommend solo travellers, I felt extremely safe here. Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. One of our favourite places in a 4 week trip, a quick kayak ( they have plenty to borrow) to the nicest beach we’ve seen in Sri Lanka, empty apart from a few kite surfers The lagoon is beautiful and the food at the hotel the best in our trip, every meal was absolutely stunning top restaurant quality There’s a roof top bar to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun set, the staff were incredible and welcoming We don’t kite surf but still really enjoyed our stay , there are not a lot of rooms so felt very relaxed The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated

We loved the house which is full of beautiful antique furniture and has a cool veranda under a shadey neem tree. Dili is an exceptional cook and we eat the best Sri Lankan food of our trip so far. The family were so very welcoming and friendly.
