The place was everything you can expect and more. The kindness and hospitality from the stuff and locals was incredibly. We very much recommend the Refugio to stay and enjoy Trassilico.

Super nice old school family house for stay one night or more. The price is great, the location is a little bit far from the center of the town, but not too far, less if you have a car. The place was really calm in a neighbourhood of families and close to the main road, but no noises from traffic, really close to a big supermarket and few other stores. It was a great place to stop by in our trip back home. If I am in the area I will stop by again over there. The owner was super kind and he was waiting for us in the flat when we arrived, we had a room for each and the heater was on what we really appreciated.

We loved this villa from early 1900s with its remarkable Art Nouveau decor and furnishings, large rooms, including a terrace for the buffet breakfast, a lovely garden setting a short walk from central Barga, safe parking, and a great welcome from the staff, notably Nadia and Beatrice. When we left something important behind Beatrice organized a courier to send it to us at our next location, for which we were very grateful. It would be a pleasure to stay again.

The house is amazing. Suzzane and Jonny were very nice and informative. The house is beautiful, cozy, well equipped and all the details are covered. It is clean and well maintained. It had great air although we were there during August. Even chilli at night. We could use the outdoor kitchen and the pool and it was super! We should’ve stayed a little longer

The apartment is on two floors, it has all the facilities for a calm, comfortable stay. The kitchen is well-equipped. It is in a quiet village, there's no traffic. Even if there's not much going on, there are plenty of things to do a short drive away. A perfect retreat away from the crowds.

    Everything about this place was perfect. Beautiful little town with its own castle on top of a hill. The restaurant was incredible (and cheap) we ate so much of the delicious homemade food with ingredients from all around the town, even got a little treat for next day. One of the best meals we had in Italy so far. Hotel doubles as the local gathering point so it’s complete with an authentic atmosphere. Amazing stop after after a day of hiking.
