Cheap hotels in Sauðafell

Very cute old house with nice interior. The house is located at a sheep farm. + Breakfast included. Owners were present during breakfast and helped and also gave us tips for travelling in Iceland + Everything was very clean. + Very comfortable bed. I slept great. + Good location prior to my trip to the west fjords + Nice common area to meet people + Nice experience to stay with Icelandic locals + Very quiet surroundings

It was a quaint farmhouse overlooking the valley full of sheep and lambs with the mountains in the background. While the home has been renovated, it maintained it's country feel. Ideal location for traveling through the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and the West Fjords. Great breakfast to start your day. Good kitchen facility for cooking dinner if you choose to do that.

This was my favourite stay across Iceland. The guesthouse and rooms are absolutely stunning - feels like a traditional B&B, and you can see family and local history throughout the house too. The location is quiet and peaceful, but still only 10-15min drive to shops, supermarkets, etc. Since it was the off-season, there were no other guests during my stay, so I had the entire guesthouse to myself. Only stayed one night, but saw the most amazing sunset and woke up to snow the next morning!

Saudafell Guesthouse has been in the same family for 4 generations. It has been renovated and finished in 2011. The living room is furnished with historic charm, with a great view over the property, and a porch. We had most of the guesthouse to ourselves in March and stayed in a nice spacious room on the ground floor with a desk, which was quite the luxury! The spaces are kept very clean, and Berglind comes over to prepare breakfast every morning. It was delightful! Highly recommended!

The hosts are amazing and considered our requests, the location is perfect for starting the next day in Snæfellsnes peninsula , the breakfast was good and the room and common area was very clean.

We liked everything about Saudafell: the location was perfect, the room was very comfortable and equipped, the bathroom was spotless and the breakfast was excellent!
