The place is simply amazing, great location if you are a tourist in Edinburgh, and a great place to visit with your friends. Great beer, amazing "small apartment" rooms, extremely nice crew (that I miss already), and a location on a fast track to both new and old city areas. Defiantly coming back over there.

What's not to like. I mean, this sure was the best place I stayed during my whole trip in Scotland. The rooms and facilities are just like in the pictures. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the attention to detail is on point. The breakfast freshly prepared every morning by Susan and Kevyn is amazing and delicious. The location is really good because you are close to the city centre and lots of local restaurants and cafes. It is a 20-minute walk to the Royal Mile, or you can take the buses that come and go very frequently. The neighbourhood is quiet, so it's perfect to rest after a day of sightseeing. The hosts, Susan and Kevyn, are simply the best. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay to finish my vacation in Scotland. When I come back, I will most definitely stay here again and if you have the chance... do it because you will not regret it.

It was such a treat staying here for 4 nights on our first trip to Edinburgh from New Zealand. So spacious and felt like a real home with space for 3 adults. Excellent location, close to bus stop so getting into the central city was easy. Great cafes, restaurants and lovely shops just at the end of the road. Extremely well appointment flat with a beautiful garden to enjoy.

The best location on castle hill! We couldn't believe how close! Great apartment and were extremely grateful to be able to drop bags off prior to check in. Steep spiral stairs to apartment but great when inside. Highly recommend.

    Great location near the Edinburgh bypass. Room was very clean and well appointed and comfortable bed ( quite firm bed but we like them that way !) Lovely shower and clean bathroom. The room was quiet and we heard very little noise around us. We had a couple of meals in the Melville Inn which were very nice. Breakfast seemed reasonable compared to equivalent elsewhere and we liked that we could just order what we wanted rather than a buffet style

    Large family room perfect for family with one double bed and one double sofa bed. Close location for Edinburgh. Very clean with modern decoration. Handy having the pub restaurant next to it but a bit expensive. We went to Dobbies for breakfast.

    We always stay here when visiting family, the hotel is in a great location with the bus stop only a few minutes walk away which enables easy access to the city or airport. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotless and comfortable.
