The host was very hospitable, the place was nice and clean, there was everything you need. The main room had a very comfortable wooden bed. We really liked the atmosphere of this place, there was a fireplace (stove) in the room, which we really liked, there were two big, very beautiful oak trees in the yard, quiet and peaceful. Design, functionality, great location, excellent customer service. We arrived on a particularly hot day and there was ice cream in the fridge! I also appreciated the yoga mat, reusable water bottles, bag for groceries shopping and many other small details that made our stay truly comfortable.

Tampere Maja is a guesthouse founded by Tartu and Tampere. It is a small cosy house with some 7 rooms. It is very close to the centre but located in a quiet street. There is a gallery on the ground floor. The rooms are simple but clean and have everything one needs. Wifi works well. There is also a kitchen with a kettle and a fridge (and more, but I did not need a kitchen, so I did not check). Breakfast is served from 8 am, it is rather simple but fine. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Tampere Maja and would not hesitate to stay there again if back to Tartu.

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away.
