This is a perfect place to stay in Fenghuang - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with super views of the ancient city. Wang and her brother were amazing - very helpful and welcoming. This is an exceptional place to stay and except for having to move on to get flights, I would have stayed longer. Note there are a lot of steps and the accommodation is up an inclined street, but Wang and her brother helped superbly with our luggage. 10/10.

10/10 - Outstanding Stay at Kaisheng Hotel!​​ Kaisheng Hotel went above and beyond to make our trip to Fenghuang amazing! They kindly offered ​​free pickup from the train station​​, which was super convenient. The staff was ​​incredibly friendly​​—always smiling and eager to help. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Its proximity to Hongqiao made it incredibly convenient for my trip, and the peaceful surroundings were a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The service here is top-notch, with the staff being very accommodating and helpful, especially when it came to assisting me with sightseeing. They not only helped with booking tickets but also arranged a private car for me to explore the area more comfortably. The bed was perfect, and I woke up feeling refreshed every morning. Additionally, the hotel is very close to the shuttle bus to Qifeng Square, which was very convenient. This hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

We had absolutely an amazing stay at the guesthouse. Initially we have made a reservation for 3 nights but we had issues we the train and it wasn’t an issue for the owner to change the dates of our reservation. In the end we had stayed all three nights. There owner is extremely helpful and make you feel like a part of his family. He is the most incredible and kind person. He was helping us to plan our days, book tickets, gave recommendations of even went with us to visit some places. Very caring person. The guesthouse is very new, rooms are specious and modern. We had breakfast brought to our room. It was local breakfast, every day a little different but big and filling. In the end of our stay we have asked to help with booking the taxi but the owner brought us to the train station by himself. The location is perfect as well. A few minutes from bus station(where direct bus from the train station is coming), it’s in the center of all attractions but at the same time in a quiet area. We would love to come back and when we do, we will stay in that hotel again ❤️ thank you for making us part of your family :) we really felt like at home. It was our best stay in China.

I arrived close to midnight and was given a private room instead of a bunk bed in a dorm, probably to not disturb others sleeping. The staff also provided an extension cable with the appropriate socket for my charger. The location was truly excellent, in the midst of the old town but on a side street, so not nousy as it can be with bars and singing thru late evening.
